đȘ Layup Lines: Storming to the playoffs
Plus, can the shorthanded Fever fend off the Sparks?

Happy Friday and welcome back to Layup Lines, your quick recap of whatâs going on in the WNBA. I hope youâre able to fulfill a childhood dream this weekend!
This 387 word newsletter should take less than 2 minutes to read.

The Stormâs season started coming unglued in part because they were losing close games to good teams in the 4th quarter. Last night, Seattle stormed back (ha!) from a 21-point deficit by scoring 60 second half points, handing the Lynx just their second loss at home this year, 93-79.
Skylar Diggins talking as much trash as she does is fun, but itâs hard to see Minnesota not taking this personally if they meet again in the playoffs.
In last nightâs other two games, New York blew out the suddenly comatose Mystics while Chicago kept it a lot closer than expected against Phoenix thanks to a monster 15 point, 20 rebound game from Angel Reese.
đș Todayâs games
The over in the Chicago / Phoenix game missed by two points last night, so we went 1-2 and are now 81-93 this season with $233 remaining to wager.
There are two games tonight, both on Ion â Dallas @ Atlanta (7:30pm ET) and Indiana @ Los Angeles (10:00pm)
The Wings are really banged up and havenât played defense in months, but 15.5 points is among the higher spreads Iâve seen this season.
Bet: Atlanta / Dallas over 165.5, $50 to win $44.
The Sparks are going for a 4-0 regular season sweep of Indiana, which would normally scare me if not for the Fever being as thin as they are at guard right now.
Bet: Los Angeles -2, $50 to win $45.
đ Standings update
Such a big win for 7th place Seattle, which now has a two game lead on 10th place L.A. with four games left.
Washington might as well be eliminated, so the final playoff seed is going to come down to the expansion Valkyries and the Sparks.
Just 1.5 games separate 2nd from 5th!
